I don’t have a mental illness. Do I need Individual therapy?
While we might not know what you’re going through at the moment, our individual therapy sessions will help you identify things that might be holding you back from living a fulfilling life. Most especially those things you never thought existed. Our licensed clinicians can give you an empathetic ear to sort through your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. We can also help you gain awareness, clarity, and tools that will provide relief and improve the quality of your life and relationships.
Your sessions will be tailor made to suit your lifestyle and needs. You’ll be assigned a dedicated therapist that will work with you at a schedule best suited for you.
How is therapy different than talking to my friends and family?
While friends and family mean well and may be supportive of us and our efforts to improve our situation, they may not be able to provide the objective, nonjudgmental support that a therapist can. Your therapist is a licensed clinician with training to listen and support you in making the changes that work for you. Often times family and friends will give advice and tell us what they would do in a similar situation instead of helping us reflect on what we want and need. Sometimes, we are dealing with a personal matter or having relationship difficulties and do not feel comfortable sharing that with those who are close to us.
